summer // part 2

Me and my goofy friends trekked down to Assateague Island, Maryland, right near Ocean City. It was a grand adventure, the kind you dream about doing in college, just because you're young and you can. So we did. 13 hour drive (well, 10, but we were pretty liberal about stopping, taking our time).
We camped right on the beach, the ocean just steps away. We had fire every night, and most nights we even cooked right on the fire (thanks to some cheap tin foil). It was near perfect weather, and even on the rainy day, we went to the boardwalk in Ocean City and played skee ball, and poked through souvenir shops. I don't have many photos from this adventure, but I made a video of some of the best parts

All in all, I'm not going to describe every moment. I could, and this post would be substantially longer, but I don't want that. I love that this trip was just between the five of us. These memories we made are ours, experienced and lived by us. Sounds SO corny, I know. But really, this trip was the first of (hopefully) many, with all of us as grown-ups.

And now for some favorites lately:
Food: grilled cheese + tomatoes, and macarons.
Thing to do: COOK! Hallelujah, my culinary abilities have finally kicked in. Also, going for ice cream (with chocolate jimmies)
Also, making movies. Also, roasting mallows

17 days until I leave for camp!
17 days. woah.

Lots to do, off to finish up my room!
