I can't even begin to explain everything that happened in 2012.
I completed my first year of college, I went on my first out-of-country missions trip, I fell in love with cinematography (and saw way too many movies because of it), I got a new job, I committed to a church near school, and I'm halfway through year two.
No year has been "easy", but this year has been particularly trying. God has given me so much grace. He has shown me so much love, and answered so many prayers, even when I didn't always see it.
I hate making resolutions, because I know I won't keep them (why? because they're always unrealistically enormous!)
So my resolutions for this year are:
1. Read the whole bible
2. Detoxify (food, media, negativity, excess things)
3. rejoice. I want joy.
And this is my prayer:
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." {2 Corinthians 5:17}
To be a new creation, to be made new by God, and to glorify Him in all that I do.
My last moments of 2012 were spent with "my people".
Wouldn't have had it any other way. It was such a blessing to just laugh and hang out with them.
Friends, I hope your year is already filled with joy!
